Mother's Day has a whole new meaning...
Yesterday was my first Mother's day. I think it's a better day than my birthday. Harrison and Ben got me a blue topaz ring, that's Harrison's birth stone, that is beautiful. We ate lunch at this place called Foster's that is close to American food, the closest you can get in Spain. We just spent the whole day as our little family and it was great. At church, all the men sang to the women and the kids came in and gave their mom's roses. It was so sweet to even see the 17 and 18 year olds hugging their mom's. I hope Harrison will still hug me when he is 17 and 18. A special prayer was led for the mom's at church. It was such a great day! Mom's really do have a difficult job at times and a very important job. I'm so glad God blessed me with this awesome responsibility of being Harrison's mom! I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's day and always remembers what a privilege it is to be a mom...

5 months old already...
Today Harrison is 5 months old. In some ways, it's hard to believe he's been in this world 5 months already and sometimes it's hard to remember life before him. Nevertheless, he is doing very well. He has discovered he can scream and he loves to. It's really funny. He laughs out loud every now and then and we've tried many times to get it on video but as soon as he sees the camera he stops. He could be stubborn but I have no idea where he might get that from. He rolls over and he wants to sit up really bad, but he's just not strong enough yet. We are giving him some baby food. He's not too crazy about it at first, but then when he gets warmed up he will open his little mouth like a bird and scream at you if it's not fast enough. So far he isn't a big fan of peas but he loves green beans, applesauce, and bananas. I think bananas might be his favorite. We will be going on our first international adventure with the little guy Memorial Day weekend. We are going to Rome. As you all know, he's been to the states and travels very well so hopefully a weekend in Rome won't be too much for him. Love to all and hope to see you in July!
