Blowing kisses!

This video is a little long, but I finally got Harrison to start blowing kisses and then I got it on video so I thought I would share.

What a month!

October has been a very busy month around our house. I have started watching another baby that is 2 months older than Harrison. It makes life very interesting around out house. They are so busy together! Here they are in their double stroller which they love. The just kick their legs and clap their hands while they are in it.

Ben also started school. He is now working on his associate degree. He is taking Biology and then a research class that is 2 weekends in November.

Here are some new videos of Harrison. Hayden brought over a toy one day that has a microphone and the boys figured it out very quickly. They were so funny playing with it.

In the next video, I didn't know whether to beat Harrison or laugh so I just started taking pictures and videos. When I feed the babies lunch, I give them something they can pick up with their hands while I warm up their warm food. Well on this day I heard a splashing noise and I knew both babies were in their highchairs strapped in so there was no way they got down. I walked out of the kitchen and I see Harrison just splashing away on his tray and juice was going everywhere. I guess he figured out how to take his lid off his sippy cup and proceeded to pour out his entire cup of juice and play in it. He had juice everywhere. I had to wash all the padding and straps to his highchair and then give him a bath because he was sticky. Oh the joys of little boys! He is 500% little boy!

One last thing...I guess the saddest part of our month. Today we had to put Abbie to sleep. We will truly miss her, but I'm so at peace with my decision because I know she isn't in pain anymore and I don't have to worry about her. My house is so quiet without her here and I think right now that is the hardest part. I miss her bringing me toys, running all around guarding her food, and playing with Dixie. It's hard to believe I've had that little dog longer than I have known Ben. She was my baby. My very sweet and spoiled rotten baby, but she was mine. I will never be able to replace her. I'll miss you Abigail Grace...

Wow she needed a haircut, but she was a happy girl!

We miss everyone back home! Love to all!

Videos of Harrison

Here are a couple of new videos of Harrison. Just a quick update on him. He is now 10 months old. He is doing everything he is supposed to be doing. He weighs 18lbs and is 28 in long. We are working on him drinking from a sippy cup and eating table food both of which he isn't crazy about. If you don't know by now, we did get orders to Yorktown, VA so hopefully around April/May we will be moving back to the USA. We are super excited and ready to go! Enjoy the videos. Love to all!

Catching Up

I haven't posted anything in a while so I have some catching up to do. Harrison is now 9 months old. He weighs 18lbs and 28 inches long. He is crawling, pulling up, and getting into everything! I guess that's his job right now and he is very good at it. Liz, Ben's sister, and her family were here for a week on vacation and we had a really good time with them. We have put in for orders to Yorktown, VA and should know October 3rd if we are moving there or not. We are keeping our fingers crossed for these orders. We are looking forward to moving back to the United States. This job would be something very different for Ben and he's excited about that. We will see if it's in God's plan for our family.

Here are some videos of Harrison:

Here's one of Harrison playing with the dog food. At first, he just played with it and now he puts it in his mouth. Right after I turned the camera off, he turned their water bowl over before I could get to him.

Harrison finally learned to clap on our way to Gibraltar on Saturday. He was so proud of himself! He has always liked clapping and now when he does it he just grins ear to ear.

Hope you enjoy! Love to all!

Harrison is mobile!

Harrison started crawling August 31th. This video is taken the first time he ever crawled so he's a little slow, but 5 days later he has it perfected!

We went to the beach on Sunday afternoon and I took this video of Harrison talking about the sand. Sorry about my shadows in the video.

Haven't Posted in a while...

First Time at the beach

Sleepy baby

He wanted the camera

Hi! I haven't been on here and posted in so long so I figure I better. We have been doing great. I love staying home, most days, and I think Harrison likes it too. We try to get out and about so he doesn't get bored. He is now 8 months old. Time is flying by! He is sitting up by himself and now has his first tooth. He is so much fun and it's such a blessing to watch him grow and learn everyday! We took him to the beach for his 8 month birthday. He had a great time in his float riding the waves with his daddy. Of course after being in the water for just a bit, he has to take a nap. He does the same thing at the pool so I guess it just takes it out of him. Other than that, not much going on here in Rota. In September, we will start looking for orders to a new home. Hopefully it will be stateside, but I guess it will be wherever God wants to send us. We have enjoyed living in Spain and taking some great trips, but we are both very ready to go. Hopefully we will be in Gulfport, but we will have to wait and see! Here are some recent pictures of Harrison. Love to all!

6 Months

Harrison turned 6 months old yesterday and we had our check up with the dr. He now weighs 16lbs and is 25 3/4 in long. He is doing everything he is supposed to be doing. He has regressed on his great sleeping but hopefully I can get him back to sleeping all night. At least now I don't have to get up 4 times a night and go to work. Hopefully we will be home in about 3 weeks. Can't wait to see everyone!

Like a kid in a candy store...

Every year several of the college coaches from various teams visit military bases around the world. Well this year Tommy Turberville, Auburn's coach that just resigned, visited here in Spain and Ben got to meet him and talk football for a while. He was so excited. He also met Jim Tressel, Ohio State's head coach, and Houston Nutt from Ole Miss. Ben had such a great time.

Harrison in his jumpy thing

Here is a video of Harrison in his jumping johnny. I think this is his favorite thing to do for the time being.

Harrison and Coke

All weekend while we were in Rome, Harrison wanted my coke bottle so finally I decided to let him try it. It's probably the worst thing I've done because I don't want him to like it, but this face he made was priceless!

Mother's Day has a whole new meaning...

Yesterday was my first Mother's day. I think it's a better day than my birthday. Harrison and Ben got me a blue topaz ring, that's Harrison's birth stone, that is beautiful. We ate lunch at this place called Foster's that is close to American food, the closest you can get in Spain. We just spent the whole day as our little family and it was great. At church, all the men sang to the women and the kids came in and gave their mom's roses. It was so sweet to even see the 17 and 18 year olds hugging their mom's. I hope Harrison will still hug me when he is 17 and 18. A special prayer was led for the mom's at church. It was such a great day! Mom's really do have a difficult job at times and a very important job. I'm so glad God blessed me with this awesome responsibility of being Harrison's mom! I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's day and always remembers what a privilege it is to be a mom...

5 months old already...

Today Harrison is 5 months old. In some ways, it's hard to believe he's been in this world 5 months already and sometimes it's hard to remember life before him. Nevertheless, he is doing very well. He has discovered he can scream and he loves to. It's really funny. He laughs out loud every now and then and we've tried many times to get it on video but as soon as he sees the camera he stops. He could be stubborn but I have no idea where he might get that from. He rolls over and he wants to sit up really bad, but he's just not strong enough yet. We are giving him some baby food. He's not too crazy about it at first, but then when he gets warmed up he will open his little mouth like a bird and scream at you if it's not fast enough. So far he isn't a big fan of peas but he loves green beans, applesauce, and bananas. I think bananas might be his favorite. We will be going on our first international adventure with the little guy Memorial Day weekend. We are going to Rome. As you all know, he's been to the states and travels very well so hopefully a weekend in Rome won't be too much for him. Love to all and hope to see you in July!

He looked like a toddler in the NICU...Hopefully he will continue to grow and become stronger in the years to come!
Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers during this time in our family. We pray that AJ continues to get stronger and doesn't have anymore setbacks. He is such a precious little boy and I know we will look back on this at his 1st birthday and be amazed at all he went through! We love you AJ and can't wait to see you again!

The bumbo chair...

So here are a few pictures of when we put Harrison in his bumbo chair for the first time this weekend. He wasn't too sure at first, but I think he started to figure it out by the end of the day. He does know he doesn't have to work as hard in his bouncy seat because it holds his head for him. We might have a lazy little boy on our hands...

Harrison is 3 months old!

So, today Harrison is 3 months old. It's amazing how fast time goes. He is almost laughing out loud. It's really sweet! Maybe the next video I post will be of him laughing. He is being really good for Mrs. Noni while we are at work so that is a blessing also. All in all he is right where he is supposed to be!

Just a little side note...Harrison will have a new cousin any day now. Keep A.J. and my sister, Katie in your prayers! We can't wait to meet him!

Something New for Our Family!

As many of you know, while we have been living here in Rota, Spain, I've been working for Navy Federal Credit Union. Well, as of this week, I have resigned to stay home with Harrison. I'm so excited and scared all at the same time. For those of you that know me, you know me giving up my job was very difficult, but at the same time I have a much more important job in my life now. I'm the mom of this precious little guy that smiles and melts my heart! I don't want to miss out on his life so I'm giving it a shot. The lady keeping him, Mrs. Noni, loves him to pieces and he is so well taken care of, but he needs his mom while he's little. So, pray for us that we adjust. As you know too, I have quite the spending habit that is going to come to an end very shortly. I'm working until June 5th and then that's it. No more heels everyday, dress pants, and so on and I can't wait! Love to all and miss you!
